I read this book over and over, 45+years ago as a young Indigenous child. I found it in the library. I remember it made me smile.. Recently I wanted to find this book that gave me so much joy as a young girl. I couldn't remember the name of the book. So I punched in what I remembered Google search "and he ran as fast as his legs could carry him. " then the title came up and I went oh yeah!!! And to my surprise, I could recite his name immediately! My heart was warmed to be reunited with this classic book..

Definitely NOT for children. Way to dark. Even for me I thought this is depressing. However the stop motion is beautiful.
