Ngl, first episode was a bit disappointing... camera, lighting, pans reminded me of B level TV. Don't get me wrong, it was high production, but looked stale and almost post-modern in its overproduction. They're was something in the gritty, dark embued cinematography of GoT that seemed real, natural and ancient. HOUSE felt theatrically staged and too well-lit.
Got lost a couple times in the story, partially distracted by the production... had to rewind to understand what happened to the baby heir, and while I was ok with the near x rated scenes in GoT, this seemed overly gratuitous and ridiculous.
Also, what was up with the Cloak just killing randoms? Not like they looked like they were hunting certain people, just looked like a reach for all or anyone. And if Daemon's party was a party why did he look brooding and sad? Eh, just not convinced of this team's ability to recreate the magic of the first 5 episodic season of GoT.
