It's not the books for sure If you are a book purist you will hate it. There are some aspects of the books that I wish were in the show, but it's good science fiction and a great story.
Asimov's stories don't have a lot of action and sometimes the action feels forced. Season 2 is so much better than Season 1. Lee Pace is phenomenal (as always).
