Damsel was a good watch. A good passing of time. I would have rated the film higher but after finishing it, I would give it a solid 5/10. The beginning was amazing. Always a pleasure seeing Millie Bobby Brown and Angela Basset on screen. The cinematography and graphics were captivating. However, I feel like the story itself didn't do full justice to Millie's acting skills. It felt a bit off-balanced as engaging as seeing her fight scenes and struggle for survival was. The ending left me disappointed, feeling as if there could have been so much more fit into that almost 2 hour film. With these types of movies, it sometimes feels as though if there wasn't a famous actor noone would hype it up as much.

This show was great. It had a lot of potential, a lot more concepts and mysteries to be expounded on but it didn't. Albeit, it was an entertaining watch. My BIGGEST peeve however, is Ryouko. She was beyond meaningless in this show and downright annoying. She had me holding my head in embarassment and frustration. Like stay home girl, you don't have to be so desperate for a guy that barely blinks at you. The slight "romance" element was thoroughly disappointing and could have been worked on or forgotten completely. The show had wonderful graphics and music. The few epsiodes seemed rather rushed as well. The plot as I said had a lot of potential to be all the more captivating and expounded on. All in all it was a good show and I think it 100% needs a season 2 to hopefully delve further into the histories and other factors of the story -minus Ryouko.
