It is definitely not a portrayal of the “I Love Lucy” television show. It is a hard glimpse of the reality and realistic lives of Lucille and Desi’s relationship during a turbulent time for not only themselves but for the country. It also gave insight as to how their personal relationship had a ripple effect with the relationships of the coworkers and staff as well. I think the reason that it may not be given great reviews is because it is not the lighthearted image that is portrayed of the “Ricardo” relationship. The reality is that their personal relationship was turbulent and people may have a hard time accepting that. The movie had interesting facts (to me) and I viewed it as more of an educational insight (film). *The casting of characters was stellar
