This movie kept us entertained the entire time. It was very nostalgic. You felt like you were back in time. Austin Butler was such an incredible actor, it felt like he was Elvis, and it felt like he was in the room with you - like you were there in each and every scene. I am a fan of Elvis and knew black musicians had influenced him, but never knew about his life as a kid, going to the all the clubs and listening to black performers. Of the life and history that I did know of Elvis, I thought the movie did a great job of telling his story. There is more to his life, however, I liked what they focused on - the deception of Colonel Parker, life on the road, and the destruction of his life. Elvis lives on as a cultural icon, with some thanks from the production of this movie. I hope many kids and young adults watch this movie - it is just as important as the American history books they read in school.
