After reading a few reviews, I can understand some of the criticisms, but I loved this movie. I'm not familiar with the story that it was "inspired" by, but it still was a great story of the human spirit. One of my favorite movies is Field of Dreams, which is more of a movie about families and the determination to pursue one instinct than baseball. This is a movie with two rather close-minded characters becoming open-minded together, with racism issues sprinkled in. The script is very well-written and the acting is very good too.
