I gave it 4 stars because all that is in this show is a joke. I know the history of the land of my birth, even though I left young. Russia is portrayed as a gathering of dump drunks and uneducated women who are constantly raped. This is not true. Royalties and cort ladies were very educated, knew how to read and write. And people in Russia were not that horrible as they show them. I know it is all made up except the main characters Catherine the Great and Peter 3rd. His Father, Peter the Great made sure people received education. I was devastated by seeing how Russian military and government of 18th century was presented in such a dark light. And this Bear... Come on.... Ok, i admit if i was not born in Eastern Europe and had no idea about my history, i would say this TV show is quite entertaining.
