The views of a night city are painted in a most amazing way!
Quite depressing though to see female role so helpless.
At first it was beautiful - older man, the animus (Jungian archetypes) helps a young woman to find her way out of life full of boring duties in a village, endless cleaning for others and poverty should come to a halt.
When she cooked, song or went to a store, my breath stopped for a moment - I always hoped she will find her vocation, her own way in this world! Maybe she is a great cook? Her voice is so brilliant, maybe she has a talent to add to his performances? Maybe she will work in a store? But the movie is so disappointing - she finds a younger man and moves in with him.
She has no agency at all. She never able to pay for herself or to have any rooting in this world but through a male. It's painful to watch how disconnected she is from her resources, from herself, really. I am not recommending to show it to a kids, surely not girls.
