This movie is not for everyone.
I wish people could differentiate arthouse films from others.
It is always best to do research before buying tickets I believe.
The movie was phenomenal for what it was, and as a norse history scholar? The culture was rather well explored in the film.
The plot was somewhat simple, but that is the thing, why fix something that is not broken? The story is simple but guttural. It is something that isn't too outlandish. History has proven this very fact.
This movie would have likely been more widely received if the plot centered around bigger names like, Ragnar Lothbrok or Thorkell the Tall.
