I’m a huge Stephen King fan. I love a good story. This has the bones of a good tale, but holy cow, this feels more like a political soapbox than what could have been a really good story. Left leaning is all very well and good, but the level of it in this book… wow. It’s like the authors King decided to use their soapbox as a bludgeoning weapon. The snark completely overwhelms the story. This mess is more like an inarticulate attempt at a fantasy sociology thesis than a novel.
