Why oh why did they remake this? The original had everything, this one went WAY overboard, excuse the pun. Story - total meh Acting - JG seemed uninterested, placid, uninvolved with other actors in the scenes, but then acted his heart out when it was him and the camera. Conor - eh....not bad not great, could see what he was trying to achieve and in fairness to him he gave it his best shot but it seemed quite one dimensional and a tad over the top, even for him. Was he eh...stimulated by chemicals during the shoot?....looked like it. The female interest and her father have lived in the keys for their whole lives except speak with a foreign accent.... The roadhouse looks quite nice, good setup, nice back drop. Villians - they were about as intimidating as a kitten looking for its ball of wool back.. Fight scenes - brutal, just brutal...give us some movie fighting not this. Mix the movie fighting with real techniques - like taken did. Overall i give it 2 stars, i checked out midway and came back and JG had turned into a stone cold murderer......over some little girl he had 2 scenes with. Doug Liman it's time to put the feet up.
