Gen Wearthy

While I thought Halle did a wonderful job, singing and acting, the CGI and visuals were awful. I spent most of the beginning of the movie squinting because it was so dark! I understand it's under the water but let's be serious here. The way she moved in the water seemed unnatural and the movie didn't feel magical because I was constantly be reminded that "this isnt real" thanks to how computerized it all looked. I also disliked Ariels adlibs in "under the sea" and hated the Scuttle song completely. I enjoyed the added story details. It was mostly the underwater scenes that killed it for me. Also, anytime Ursala was on the screen, all I could see were her tentacles......why so dark?
