I think people who have experienced any level of real domestic violence will find this a mockery of the topic. I get the theme is there but if was superficial in my opinion. I don't think their love story was explored or showcased enough either. To me it was so light on dv it was barely enough for me to think she needed to leave, doesn't highlight the topic enough or the real realities of that situation
