Richard Osman appears to be on a one man mission to Americanise the English language. His latest contribution is "lugs" for wheel nuts. I thought Armstrong would say something with ears like his. He starts every show with a "Hey" for hello; and has taken to laying emphasis on the last syllable of words and names: recently we had the writer Ruth RenDELL, when we all know it's pronounced "Rendle"; pathetic really. I recall lads in the 1950s trying to be "cool" by copycatting Americanisms. I expect he drinks "MurLO", as the rest of sip Merlot.

Last evening's broadcast wasted time and money on a pointless piece about the Dartford Crossing. Instead of a "puff" piece, it should have asked why crossing charges are still levied. the structure's future on-going maintenance is covered to the end of its useful life by a fully-funded sinking fund. The excellent Charlotte Wright should have been detailed to collar local MPs to hold their feet to the fire. The money benefits neither Kent not Essex as the funds go direct to Whitehall. Local MPs are indifferent to the daily cost of many of their constituents - why?
