I enjoyed the show. I never watched the original Vikings series. If anyone is complaining about wokeness they are really stretching the definition of that expression. There is exactly 1 quarter African Viking and she is made up for the show but it doesn't take away from the story. I understand that the show does go out of its way to make the Christian Vikings the bad guys but lets be honest, this was 1000 years ago and a lot of people all over the world did a lot of messed up things in the name of their various religions. I am sure there are lots of other reasons to dislike the show but don't completely bypass it because someone said it was too "woke". It really isn't.
