It was a prime time show where the latest pop stars would appear to showcase their songs (while lip syncing) to America and the world. The Solid Gold Dancers were probably a third of the shows appeal, along with the hosts and guests. If you are looking for some eighties nostalgia, (the music and fashion) then this is for you. I only wish you could watch it with the eighties commercials to really get the feel for the eighties or to reminisce.
