I was an elvis fan from day 1. Nothing in this movie rings true to me. Austin Butler is given an impossible task to represent a performer who could raise a storm with the lift of an eyebrow or the twist of a lip. It actually wasn't all in the pelvis : Elvis had a very expressive face. Just watch his performance of Wooden Heart in the movie GI Blues. I believe that Tom Parker (who was the only one who would touch him as manager at that time ) was able to make him acceptable to mainstream. Not only women but also men were fans. Elvis may not have loved his movies, but he always loved his stage performances, which he kept having until the day he died. For one man to have such a hold on so many people is his legacy as well as his downfall
