Set in a prestigious school, the show explores a murder scene in the context of Korean law. Unpredictable and nail-biting scenes. You doubt every single character before the real culprit is revealed. My most favorite scene is where Yangcretes asks Kang Sol if she would defend bad people. This scene entails a wide and logical perspective about how the law works. Lawyers have a duty to fulfill in society. That's why human rights exist because it gives each individual a chance of reasonable doubt. After all, everyone who is accused cannot be considered a criminal, unless they are proved so in a court of law. Perfect execution by the actors especially my long-term favorite Kim Bum.

Packed with mind-blowing scenes, this drama definitely took a brutal path to teach us an essential lesson about kindness. Play children's games for money? Such an intriguing concept. This drama portrays desperate people literally putting their lives on the line for money. It also goes on to show that people will betray each other and go to any extent just to save themselves. Money does bring out the worst in us. But there will always be people like Gi-hun who will put humanity before anything else. Lessons learned : 1. Savings can go a long way 2. Gambling and Investments can be unpredictable and risky 3. Always be devoted to your parents 4. Nurture everyone connection you make 5. An extremely heartwarming series that speaks about the shunned topic of mental health. Could be branded as a dark and whimsical melodrama and it surely has lots to unpack. I fell in love with the female lead. She is such a badass. We all need that kind of confidence and vulnerability in our lives. Not to mention the outfits that we will all remember. The story is so well-written. They have incorporated a fairytale to reveal the emotions and actions of the characters. It almost feels rewarding to watch as the story unveils. The characters progress in an organic and natural way. Although Ko Min Yong does come across be unreasonable and condescending in the beginning, the story progresses to show her backstory. We all resonate with that kind of darkness in our souls. Moon Gan Tae has a positive influence on her irrational behavior. She helps him come out of his shell. They strike a balance to create a happy ending for everyone. This story feels different. Not your typical K-drama.
