J. Jam Carter

First off, this isn't a horror or slasher movie. It's a violent suspense thriller (without the thrills). There are some tropes that will be scary to some but overall this just isn't a good movie. If the protagonists being absolute fricken idiots (to the point that you barely care what happens to them) really bugs you, you won't enjoy it either. That said, if your only requirement for enjoying this kind of movie is good acting, some decently creepy camera shots, and a good amount of tension you'll enjoy this.

I feel like the hate on the movie is so crazy and uncalled for. It feels like a bunch of fake reviews. This film was fantastic from beginning to end. Super entertaining with a good story. I'll admit it's hard to remember the things the story ties into because they happened so long ago but just watch Captain Marvel and Mrs. Marvel before watching this. Or you can even look up a recap of those things. I'm sure they'll cover the relevant info. This movie is definitely in my top 10 favorite Marvel films. If you haven't seen it, don't pay attention to reviews and make up your own mind!
