Best actor: the Victorian ranges. Utterly beautiful and strong in its presence. And then it just goes downhill. The premise is simple: AFP is called into shadow a search-and-rescue as one of their “assets” (mole) has gone missing. Execution: there are gajillion flashbacks. There’s the protagonist mummy flashback. There’s the school flashback. There is a dog but said dog is heard not seen flashback. There is an implied serial killer with dog. Neither makes an appearance: I wish they did. There’s five women sent out to do orienteering with no satellite phone in forecasted bad weather and only one compass. No phones because it is a time for them to bond. I see civil liability claims people!!!! Watch this if you miss Australia and when you want to hear and see the sights and sounds of our bush.
