This one was not her best. The pacing was inconsistent. The story felt rushed, as if Hilderbrand wanted to satisfy everyone by telling every major character's story, but got bored doing it. I also agree she overdid it with the facetious names. Too cute. I agree the mystery of the Plot concerning the Richardson's was a bit thin. However, I enjoyed the entire ensemble. Finally, by the end, I enjoyed how the author dispatched of the Richardsons and left us satisfied by tying up everyone's story with a beautiful bow. The biggest mystery was whether or not the Chief survived. I think that kind of trust in the reader was the real gift. Looking forward to reading about the boarding school. Also, thanks for the Author/narrator interview at the end and Repeating the last chapter. Some people call these beach reads, I called them my bed books.
