10 minutes in and I already want all the characters dead.
Another "woke" film from America riddled with virtue-signalling. It clearly tries to smear the image of their white southerners as gun-manic, racist country bumpkins and freaks who believe in GOD (gasp, shock and horror). Meanwhile the "city folk" protagonists from some pozzed state are depicted as the oh so perfect representatives of the "best America", with a clear-cut case of saviour/wannabe-revolutionist syndrome, as they travel to a hick town in Texas to establish some neo-generational village.
What has happened to America since 9/11? Why are they doing this to their global image?? Why??? Seriously, what is wrong with these people? Can't they have any respect for themselves, and stop dragging the collective West towards cultural decline? I know this is just a movie but it's just one small example of what we are all seeing happen to "the greatest country on Earth". Someone has to get angry over this, because this is not funny anymore - what has started as satire and a joke is quickly becoming a reality.
Edit: The ending is predictable, ironically. Chick who is all anti-gun because she got shot in a high school shooting uses a shotgun to kill Leatherface. Blah blah blah she wears a cowboy hat like she's an "honourary southerner now YEEHAW" and they all live a happy traumatized survivor-syndrome life thereafter. The End.
One star.
