As someone who was born in 1997 and just saw the film for the first time I enjoyed the film. I love the cheesy 80s action and how they thought the future might have looked like. The story is simple and not hard to understand. Seeing the World Trade Center (Twin Towers) sure is an eye catcher lol. Tried to watch Escape From LA and that sucked but this is great.

I might get hate for this… The film does have some good moments. I love the 80s music, the environment, dress style is amazing, acting is so 80s, the California vibe is great but, I felt like some of the things in the film could’ve been better than it was. The film needed at least another hour to fully complete the story, it felt rushed with some parts and the ending fight scene happened so fast and the vampires weren’t that strong and I was disappointed in that, the grandpa is some weirdo that puts animals in a kids room without any detail, Michael does all this crazy stuff as “ Initiation” and doesn’t question any of it before doing crazy things, the leader vampire isn’t a tough imposing boss he’s just some random guy you see maybe 3 times and doesn’t have any body to the story, Sam’s dog attacks Michael 1 time and then is just fine with Michael as a vampire after. I mean I could go on. I liked the movie but I don’t think it was all that great…
