We liked the plot. Fascinating to explore the life of a mermaid especially for my 8 year old daughter. The movie is intriguing and full of beautiful moments. I wish they would have expand on the story of her biological mother for a more meaningful ending. Also I wish they wouldn’t have chosen an african american actor as the villain. Decisions like that seem innocent on the surface, but perpetuates negativity and racism. Overall it was a good movie.
