Great program! Watch it every day. I live in Alabama, but my genealogy has been traced back to the 1600s in England and Ireland, so I really enjoy learning so much about these places. I really appreciate seeing the maps too.
I have rarely heard mention of the need to be near medical facilities, so I am curious about so many retirees moving to the country. I don't know anything about the UK healthcare system, but I wonder how the small towns and villages accommodate healthcare needs.
I am also curious about internet service in those small towns. Is it readily available?
The small towns in my part of the U.S. have just about dried up, so I am also very curious how the U.K. can continue to have so many thriving small towns. Is it the mass transit provided by rail service to the larger cities?
I love the fact that structures are so old and have been preserved rather than torn down. It amazes me that these structures can continue standing after hundreds of years!
