Mr. Plankton is a dark romance comedy. The male lead and supporting cast were amazing. Now I’m not sure if it’s poor writing but the female lead cried constantly and it got to be too much for me which is why I gave it 4/5 stars. If like happy endings this is not for you. This definitely a tragedy and life exploration TV series. Knowing this out of the gate, it is a great drama with well rounded story line and will keep you watching. Grab a box of kleenx and share every laughable/sad moment with these relatable characters.

The first few episodes were amazing. The male lead is amazing, he brought you along in his journey. The music, cinematography, sets and supporting roles were incredible. The FL is fine for the first few episodes, but her acting got weaker through each episode. She lacked credibility in her ability to show chemistry in most scenes she was in. The writing was good except for the final episode. It was like the writers just wanted to stop writing and left the viewer going what the heck!? Combined with weak performance by the FL it was heartbreaking to watch. I’d say watch it for the other strong performances.

This is one of the best dramas I’ve watched in a long time. Everything was perfect from the acting, costumes, music, direction, story, and cinematography just brilliant. The timing of the subtitles made it easy to follow along but really it comes to a point where the acting is so good that you don’t need them. Truly a classic.

I loved it! Well directed, written and casted. A must watch!
