I understand they said this is the silver timeline(timeline that doesn’t really follow the games/lore) but I really find it funny they use so much lore then change it, so I’ll begin with this.
First they changed a “small” plot of halo a little (forerunners left the mantle of responsibility and all technology basically to humanity as a whole not a select few) but I was like maybe we can work with it… Next I really hate that chief takes his helmet off so freaking much. It ruins the character…. But alright I can live with it(maybe not at this point 4 episodes in). Also with halo, let’s say an action universe-_- really no action at all. I just feel like I’m watching a group therapy session with everyone going around with their emotions and issues, example episode 2, 3 and 4 with maybe just a few scenes of intense sightseeing shots… they are really not appeasing the fans a lot…. Writers you wanted to dive into the development of the characters but did not even watch/play into the games that “established” the halo fan base or that showed who chief was. I honestly really think the writers should play the games or at least watch the cutscenes.. any excuses are really kinda just air blowing in the wind.
Only pros I got to say is the Slipspace travel, the visuals of the UNSC base, soldiers and arsenal(not the rebels weapons)
If it improves next episode I’ll stick with it but if not I’ll stop watching and cancel Paramount. Even Star Trek I thought I liked turned really dang political so nothing else to watch on there…
