I waited with anticipation for months to see this movie. I love Kevin Costner and my favorite movie of all time is Dances With Wolves. I have to say that I was somewhat disappointed. While the cinematography was amazing and I loved some of the historical aspects, I was, overall disappointed. I found all the story lines hard to follow. The dialogues were out of touch historically-people just did not talk this way back then. The characters seemed awkward to me and unbelievable. I did not feel connected to, acquainted with or attached to any of the characters(not even Kevin!) at the end of it. The captions often did not stay up long enough for me to read totally. I felt confused and severely traumatized by the end of it. I know the reality of life in those times was very harsh, but…I was left wondering if Kevin had made up these nightmare events or heard of them as true events that had occurred in the past. I don’t know if I want to see more or not.
