My first ever review ,because after watching this movie I find it necessary to say this out loud - . WHAT DOES DEV PATEL KNOW ABOUT THE INDIAN SOCIETY AND DIFFERENT CULTURES THAT CO-EXIST HERE! MAYBE THE ONLY THING INDIAN LEFT ABOUT HIM IS HIS NAME. . Typical propaganda movie by people who hardly have an understanding of complex Indian culture and society. All the movie has done is showing a corrupt cop and system, and an ancient yogic spritual leader who were killed by a young man to avenge the death of his mother. After the boy kills them all, they show the image of Lord Hanuman. The inspiration of this boy is lord Hanuman since childhood, thats why he wears a monkey mask whenever he fights in the underground fight club. . The scene where a greedy american organsier (maybe the only persona they got accurate in the cast) in underground fight club is pointlessly ridiculing about different religions, adding a very degrading line about the christians, and then further ridiculing all religions by comparing them with money, all to the crowd that is Indian. (now I know everyone will say its fiction, bt cmon, FICTION HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE BEST MEDIUM TO SHOW ULTIREIOR MOTIVES). . Meanwhile showing in between, scenes where few people are cheering the corrupt politician and the yogic leader, when on the other side the corrupt cops and system are supressing the voice of minorities, and the camers focusing on people holding banners of save Indian muslim and save minorities.( An attempt by the westfilmmakers to provoke people and incite voilence in the name of a movie, while their government themselves have the most capitalist system, which interferes in politics and culture of other nations throughout the world and fight proxy wars). . A desperate attempt to tarnish the image of Indian society with special focus on hindu religion (which always has believed in live and let live philosophy), by relating them with few corrupt cops, greedy political system and greedy yogic leader. . Its high time for few filmmakers and their agenda pushing producers to realise that they should stop making pointless and illogical movies / propaganda. . IF YOU HAVEN'T LIVED IN INDIAN SOCIETY, YOU WON'T UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE OF DIFFERENT FAITHS LIVE HERE TOGETHER. AND AS FOR INDIA, ITS AMONG VERY FEW NATIONS WHO HAVEN'T ATTACKED ANOTHER NATION. . HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. I WISH I WAS ABLE TO GIVE 0.
