This movie was a disappointment. Wonder when we will get a good representation of Muslims in Western movies. This film only showed Pakistanis as backward. It's foolish to think that there is no love in arranged marriages. Many of the couples in my family have married their choice or had an arranged marriage. They all love and care for their partners. There is a huge difference between arranged and forced. Ironic that this movie was supposed to show that arranged is not forced in the beginning but does exactly the opposite in the end. Our parents don't just introduce us to someone and expect us to say yes to being married off the next day. Ever wondered if love marriages are so perfect why is there such a huge divorce rate??. And of course, miss white girl had to save people from anything that didn't line up with the West.
No Pakistani father will be OK with their child drinking red wine. A Pakistani bride doesn't drink on her wedding night in front of her husband and family. Alcohol is forbidden in Islam stop trying to normalize it. Stop trying to modernize Islam.
