Nevermind the ironic dark humour and fun pacing, the ragtag team is to die for. I really enjoyed all of their character progressions, especially MM. The show makes sure to use every new bit of info to add more depth to their characters instead of harping on just one characteristic. They feel more like real people in that way. On my re-watch list for the action, comedy, catharsis, social commentary and mostly the heart of the story which are its characters and committed stances on morality while also letting their characters accept themselves as they are. No conveniently maleable morality here. They do the bad thing and know they're doing a bad thing, like real people do.
Only thing i don't personally like is how Homelander is made to be sympathetic and unnaturally kind to just one particular person to show his humanness. Not because it doesn't make sense with his character but more so because i just really really really really really really hate him. Like, A Lot.
Oh, for people who know a little about the avengers and the dc superheroes there's very tasteful, campy and funny imitations in the way characters are dressed or talked about in the public eye. Which is a nice touch. A good snicker moment.
