Alas, the sole survivor who could have spelt his version of the catastrophe and alerted the society on the contagious disease was killed. The deranged is out on a deadly mission!
Who would know!
Who would know of the struggle a commoner has to face and fathom in order to break free from the shackles of caste and position in an unforgiving society?
A politician holds an edge in terms of strategy and muscle power. When he reigns supreme atop the food chain, he is not new to the idea of stealth and wealth but to the position. It is here that he hunts for ways and means to swell his belly and pride. A commoner is expected to bow and capitulate to his fate. Who would know of the numerous attempts a layman would have tried to drill some sense in the big fry. No matter how futile the attempts he is bound to press on desperately. Desperate times beget desperate measures. And finally, he begins to see light at the end of the darkest tunnel. But to what extent? Just when he thinks he has subjugated the devil, a temptation manifests. An offer too juicy to resist, too bitter to swallow! The commoner begins to negotiate and bargain with fallacious justification. And the vicious cycle of greed for power continues. To what end! That’s anyone’s guess I think!
The cynical expressions, the banal mindset, the omened noises are all part of the game. When life translates into a gamble, one begins to take chances by flinging the dice without a second thought. Even before one can even comprehend the magnitude of ruins, the gamble sucks him into a void, a depressing realm of sorrow and disorientation difficult to come out of.
The key to salvation has to be earned, it will not be offered. While the wise realise and move on, the fools are lured by the Devil’s hand accepting the offer with glee and returning to the debauched world of conceit and hatred.
Numerous analogies can be drawn from the craft. It is here that directorial brilliance meets art and performance!
