I'd rather give a 3 1/2 rating but since I can't I'll go up to 4. I love the rune factory series. Rune factory 4 being my favorite and I was hoping 5 would be just as in depth with the writing, dialog, events, story, dates etc. But it lacks in comparison. In rune factory 5 the characters repeat themselves too much and seem way more like AI than the realistic characters we had in 4. They also took out the chance for random dialog when you take your favorite characters on a story line mission which I loved. I'm so sad they didn't keep that. In rune factory 4 you never knew what they were going to say and it was so awesome. I will say I like the graphics of 5 much better and I do enjoy the characters they're just not as realistic I enjoy the dungeons and crafting and recipes and town but 4 remains the better game as it is. I am enjoying rune factory 5 its fun to play and I'm glad I have it but if you were going to only try one game I'd tell you to go with 4
