I am in awe at all the reviews saying how this was a masterpiece. This is my review. It was nothing what I was expecting. Brendan Fraser comes across as a selfish delusional person who instead of using the money he has saved to prolong his life and possibly have more time with his daughter, he instead keeps it a secret only to treat his caretaker horrible, see his daughter turn into an evil tyrant. Her first opportunity to harm him, she gives him sleeping pills in hopes he dies. If he wanted to die and leave his money to somebody, he should have left it to his caretaker or his ex wife cause his daughter has no idea what to do with that amount of money. All in all, this movie was all over the place with very little substance other than a dysfunctional family and a man who is lost and thinks his daughter is wonderful which, again, is him being delusional. Nothing what I expected. It almost seems with all these reviews that are so positive that people are afraid to criticize just because they don’t want to fat shame of seem homophobic. But his weight nor his choice in sexuality has nothing to do with his poor performance and with this terrible script. Very disappointing.
