If you're a fan of Murakami, this is a wonderful addition to his library of works. The novel is endlessly interesting with unpredictable twists and turns, and what I would consider his singular take on the mysterious aspects of the everyday, elevating the normal things we all encounter with magic and meaning. I was not disappointed with opening this book.

I love this new version of The Right Stuff, and look forward to the next episode airing each week from National Geographic Channel. As a huge fan of the original 4 hours plus film, I was thrilled to find someone had adapted it again. It doesn't have the Chuck Yeager aspects of the original, but it delves into other people's lives, such as the wives and families of the Mercury 7 astronauts, some of the other NASA employees and historical figures. It has a Mad Men sort of flair. feel and realism of a different era as well if you were a fan of that period piece too.
