Victoria Gay

My favorite aspect of the film is that it forces audiences to take an open minded view of the settling of the western United States. There are bad guys among the settlers and bad guys among the Indigenous people. There was heartbreak and bloodshed, courage and disappointment, love, hatred, greed, and selflessness. There was a genuine attempt to make audiences feel everyone's pain. I loved it.
