Authentic, moving, ultimately shocking, Bond could be serious drama. Sadly, 90% of the time it isnt.

Genius, if 20 minutes shorter. Otherwise, a Masterpiece.

Authentic, thought provoking but rarely (if ever) profound. Not sure why Nomadland won "best director", the directing is decent not outstanding. Otherwise, the central performance is solid but rarely challenged or challenging. Why? Zero conflict. Lose your van? Accommodating middle class sister to the rescue. Preferable to a park bench I guess. Working at Amazon? Cleaning toilets? All done with a smile. Life is not like this Zhao. These jobs are often a nightmare. Einaudi? A 10 year old track? Very good film, but far from great.

Cinema needs Christopher Nolan. Tenet is worth watching for the concept alone. Which is just as well. The film is a huge disappointment (I'm being kind) Christopher: cut the word content by 50%. Film is not radio. There's nothing sophisticated about a "clever" script which doesn't communicate. Simple isn't simple.

In the hands of Krzysztof Kieslowski this could have been a great film. It wasn't, so it isn't. Kirby deserves better.

Direction very good. Script average. Final third is predictable and (ultimately) ridiculous. Character development is poor. Far from great, but worth seeing.
