Gritty, bleak, and emotional. From the moment I saw the trailer, I knew this film would succeed. The acting, the writing, the directing, and the cinematography are amazing. Robert Pattinson showed a whole new version of not only Batman, but Bruce Wayne. While Bruce is shown to be a hotshot playboy or an awkward guy played by Michael Keaton or Christian Bale respectively, Pattinson showed more like an isolated, moody Bruce. As for the move itself, it’s like Se7en but without the gruesomeness. The way they did the Riddler was great. He’s actually intimidating and not some loud mouthed buffoon.
