Why so many bad reviews? This is such a charming little film that manages to bring levity and realness to a life experience we don’t normally see with such color and humor… not in this medium. Yes, cancer is very serious, but the beauty of life exists even during such trying times. Not an easy feat, portraying this topic with both true depth and fantastic comedy. Lead by Kate Hudson, it’s hard not to love. As someone who has lost many to cancer and one who has gone through the gauntlet of medical journeys herself, I found the film to be healing and uplifting. Five stars!

Love this film. It follows the traditional rom-com formula we all know and love: “boy meets boy, boy loses boy, boy gets cute boy back,” (yes, I just quoted Janet Jackson’s Free Zone). As a straight cisgendered woman and ally, seeing this film makes me want to yell “We need more gay rom-coms!” Such a fun and entertaining movie with all the comedy you hope for and then some. Totally worth watching. Go see it!

AMAZING! I already had pretty high expectations for this return to the classic and they were all exceeded. We may even go back to watch the theater version with the bonus features that was just released. Outstanding film. Impressive all around.

Watching the re-released 40-year anniversary IMAX version of this was worth it and then some. Revisiting this film as an adult (I first saw it in the 80’s), I’m blown away by its range and depth and beauty. Decades later this film fills my heart with warmth and my eyes with tears. Powerful storytelling. Spielberg classic. I’m so happy it is having another run in theaters this year. Well-deserved and an amazing opportunity for new generations to experience its wonder. 10 stars if I could!

Love his standup comedy. Don’t understand why the film was so horrible.

Vengeance was superb!!!!! They could have marketed it better - the trailers really do it no justice, but there is only so much you can do with a two minute slot. Brilliant film. Best film I’ve watched in years. It’s nothing I thought it would be. Thanks to triple digit heat, I ended up watching it on a whim and it was soooo good! Impressive writing, wonderful acting and an EXCELLENT relevant commentary on our divided country. So good. Perfect casting. I was surprised by the emotional depth and humor through it all, too. Perfect balance of all those elements and the film never dragged. Can’t wait to see more from Novak!!!!!
