Disclaimer:
1.1st post on any of the movies I hv seen.
2.Wont be able to write words which makes review a vocab learning experience.
3.Not a qualified reviewer, in terms of getting too critical abt film n art work.
Audience go movie having a mindset and some or the other expectation. I went to see scenic beauty, debutant Mukku n yes, to knw abt the Pralay happend. Not wid any religious or political sentiments.
1st half is the set up of d entire plot wid melodious music, beauty of the great himalayas, Sara and something abt the demography of the valley. There is fun induced by the director, which is mainly focused on Sara n Sushant. A little is overdone by Sara for the love of cricket but cnt beat Kajol in K3G. Onus goes to director n nt actors. Otherwise Himalayas, Sara, n Sushant compliment each other well. Sara has looked beautiful, as neat n clean as the valley and Sushant's heart, a true sevak. For d 1st half, it's 3/5, if the expectation is nt of watching an art piece or documentary.
People do wait to get more engaged in the 2nd half with curiosity.
2nd half talks abt 2 sides of people. 1st kind, wanting to encash, exploit the nature's gift n people's faith at any cost n others abt taking care of nature n respecting the faith.
The clashes cn b overpowered by anyone in power but nothing cn stand the warth of nature.
Recreation of the nature's anger is shown well, cnt be best as its all abt budget but again if u won't see it with a critical angle, it gives u a sense that wat had happened at dat time. Something abt the lack of sense of disaster management n everlasting lethargic nature of government departments is also seen.
Sushant, Sara and other supporting cast have done well, again nt critically.
I wud say its nt at all a documentary neither anything abt love jihad as well.
3.25/5 for 2nd half.
A light hearted film which gives laughs, goosebumps n tears for sure.
Overall 3/5 cud hv been 4.5 if its relatively compared with Mr Rajeev's 3.5 given to Jab Tak Hai Jaan...
