A very touching show, with top grade character development. Ultimately is dealing tastefully with rather mature themes in an animated medium, but remains fun and upbeat.

A lovely series, differs in implementation and theme from Avatar. Generally my preferred of the two series. In general, I would say the animation is high quality, though it improves somewhat over the series. Main and secondary characters are likable and interesting. There is a surprising amount of dislike for Korra from some quarters on the basis of her being what amounts to "somewhat brash for a protagonist on average" to me, but feels like "apparently way too much for a female protagonist for some people." There is also some unhappiness on the basis of this series having precluded a sequel to "The Last Airbender" set in the original Era, which seems particularly unfair (and frankly inaccurate).
