Daniel Silva has been my number one author and I have read every book. I could not wait until his next one came out.
I could not wait to turn the next page in this book until about the last 150 pages when it really started becoming political. Just like Hollywood he had to turn fiction political.
At the very end of the book where Silva was giving the rundown of where he got his so-called facts from he makes the statement that 1/3 of Republicans agree with violence. Where he came up with this so-called fact I could not hazard a guess. While the author was so critical of January 6 riots, and I would say that most Republicans/conservatives were horrified by these untenable events, not a word was mentioned about the burning and looting in several states that took away the homes, workplaces, and livelihood of all cultures and political persuasions when Trump was elected.
I was so disappointed with the politicizing of this book, and it was totally unnecessary in the storyline, that it will be hard for me to pick up another of his latest novels.
