I was expecting more from the director and cast of this movie. Mute is a film that seems to drag on forever with a story that wants to be more than what it actually is. I was able to predict all the major events of the movie, including its vague ending. The only star it deserves goes for the well-established cyberpunk-like setting. However it doesn’t bring anything to the story. It was probably an ambitious decision to try to tie things together with Duncan’s ‘Moon’, but this didn’t work out. If I went back in time, I wouldn’t watch it.
