Maurice Clarke

Having seen the hype about the Spielberg version I was pretty underwhelmed. I felt it almost had the feel of a chick flick and 'Tony's' voice was far too week and overshadowed by Maddie Ziegler who put in a fine performance. I thought Spielberg may have updated the period but by simply placing in the original period and just trying to be more authentic with the ethnicities missed a trick. Was quite disappointed having fond memories of the original and loving the 'operatic' recording by Bernstein
