If anyone reads the true documented facts of the mystery of the Flannan Isles lighthouse,then this movie does an injustice to and debases the known true accounts. No mention of the great storm over several days,no mention that only two keepers could be outside the lighthouse at any given time,etc,etc. Even web versions mention an unfinished meal,overturned chair etc to create facts that are not consistent with the official lighthouse Board report. Whilst the potrayal of greed and man's nature re violence and survival are themes of the movie,the overall message of the movie is-dont let the known facts get in the way of an opportunity to make a good story(in this case an overall injustice to the known true facts).If the true known facts had been adhered to,then the integration of the movies main plot lines could have made for a much more acceptable outcome. This movie in essence,discredits known true facts and is misleading to say the least Read The Lighthouse-K.Mccloskey,which tells the true official version of the known facts.
