Lonesome Dove was probably all around, the best western ever made. The cast was unprecedented in film history. Even the small parts were chosen with care and acted out with brilliance. The story was captivating beyond belief. It gripped me and held my complete attention throughout the entire series. AND, the music was beyond outstanding. It was some of the finest movie music ever written for a motion picture.
