I had no idea what to expect going into this movie, but after just leaving the theater I'm thrilled that I watched it! The story is interesting enough and the special effects are stunning. There were a few iffy things about it (some parts seemed a little rushed or others a little too slow, and a few things went a little unexplained) but that's literally any movie, even the most "praised". Despite its flaws I still spent the full 2 hours thoroughly enjoying what I was watching. It makes me sad to see all of the terrible reviews because I'd love to watch the sequel that this movie so very obviously leads in to. I hope despite the bad way this movie was received by critics that it can still survive into another great film. I'd much rather watch Alita: Battle Angel 2 than the many redone--lets face it--kinda garbage productions the top movie publishers keep churning out over the past few years. I absolutely recommend going to see it! Please get this movie the attention it deserves so it can continue!
