true story of Vietnam and how precious life is. Junction City claimed a tremendous amount of lives during the beginning of the build-up. The communist national liberation front(viet cong) working the north Vietnamese regulars was devistating and costly. We left Pope AFB. on the night of May11 1966 and arrived at Thon Su Nhut AFB on May 18th. It was heartbreaking to see the carnage of bags going home. The stinch was hard to bare because the temperature outside was 108degrees and 77% humidity. It just got through raining.....................
