I personally loved the film. It makes you question what "real" is in a very unique way just like the first Matrix. Good action scenes. Engaging dialog with philosophic and religious references. The humor aspect did throw me for a loop but it wasn't in a bad way, so it kind of balanced out the seriousness of the first 3 I think. I highly recommend re-watching the original trilogy prior to watching Resurrections though, as it provides a certain depth to the movie I think would be missed otherwise. Keep an open mind as well. I see a lot of bad reviews criticizing Lana's approach as a "joke" to get back at WB, but I think many forget the original matrix was also somewhat of a satire/critic of how we see reality. Bottom line watch it for yourself and decide. People these days have a "herd" mindset and they hear one negative thing and form their opinion based on another's opinion. The biggest hurdle I think is getting people who have not seen the originals to stay engaged with this movie. So definitely watch the first 3 if you haven't and I think you will have a way better experience coming into Resurrections.
